Lab-Grown Diamond Wedding Bands

While natural diamonds are considered to go hand-in-hand with bridal jewelry, wedding bands are beginning to make their own style statements. Lab-grown diamonds make today’s stunning designs accessible, from emerald-cut eternity bands to unique east-west bands. Whether you’re shopping for the big day or a milestone anniversary, a diamond wedding band is an eternally beautiful choice.

Types of Diamond Wedding Bands Eternity Band

Eternity bands consist of stones that wrap all the way around the finger. Total carat weight reflects the combined weight of all the stones rather than each individual diamond. Three-quarter eternity bands are also available, allowing the wearer to resize in the future if need-be.

Five- and Seven-Stone Bands

Love the look of an eternity band but wonder if it’s practical for everyday wear? These rings offer the visual impact you want and the comfort you crave. Floating bands are made to look like the diamonds are hovering over your finger, while more traditional styles incorporate beautiful settings into the design. Since much of the band is left plain, these rings can be resized in the future.

East-West Bands

This modern wedding band gives smaller stones a chance to shine—literally and figuratively! In addition to being an outside-the-box look, the east-west setting style helps protect the points of pear, marquise, and emerald cuts. Having the stones run horizontally across the finger instead of vertically, this setting can also make stones appear larger.

The Lab-Grown Diamond Difference

Choosing lab-grown diamonds for your wedding band gives you all the clarity and durability of a traditional mined diamond with a few key benefits. Due to their man-made nature, lab-grown diamond pricing is much lower overall than natural diamonds. No matter the size or shape, lab-grown diamond wedding bands can be affordable to everyone.

Your wedding band may only be a small symbol of your most important day, but it carries huge significance. For most couples, the wedding band symbolizes unconditional love—love that's devoted and unending, love that's expected to last forever. That is why it's important to take your time finding the perfect men’s and/or women’s wedding bands for you and your partner.

Choosing Metal Colors & Gemstones

Your wedding band’s metal color sets the tone—whether it’s the classic warmth of yellow gold, the sleek shine of platinum or white gold, or the romantic blush of rose gold. Each metal offers unique beauty and care needs, so choosing one that fits your lifestyle and style is key. You can choose classic natural diamonds prized for their timeless brilliance, budget-friendly lab-grown diamonds that sparkle with great value, or vibrant gemstones like sapphires, rubies, and emeralds for a bold, personal touch. Your wedding band should reflect your story and style.

Popular Wedding Band Styles

Choosing the perfect wedding band means knowing styles, settings, and metals to match your style and lifestyle.

  • Pavé Bands: diamonds inlaid into the metal in a single continuous row and held in by tiny beads.
  • Prong Set Bands: diamonds held securely by metal claws or prongs, allowing maximum light to reach the stones for optimal brilliance.
  • U-Shape Bands: U or V shaped prong holds each diamond into place so the entire profile of the diamond is visible from all angles.
  • Bezel Set Bands: each diamond or gemstone is encased in a thin metal rim that protects the edges while creating a more vintage look that are also more durable and ideal for those with active lifestyles.
  • Channel Set Bands: stones nestled between two metal walls, creating a smooth, continuous row of gems without any prongs.
  • Eternity Bands: style of wedding band where gemstones continue all the way around the band with no interruption.

Wedding Band Gallery FAQs

Can I wear my diamond wedding band every day?

Absolutely! Lauren B diamond wedding bands are built for everyday wear with durable settings and quality metals. Just follow our ring care guide, and remember to remove your rings before sleep and during intense activities like working out.

How long in advance should I order my wedding band from Lauren B?

We recommend ordering your wedding band at least 8 to 10 weeks before your wedding day. This allows time for customizations, sizing, and any final adjustments so your band fits perfectly and arrives on time.

Can wedding bands be resized later on?

Yes, wedding bands can be resized, but there are some limitations depending on the design and metal. For clients in the Tri-State Area, we recommend bringing your fiancé into our New York City showroom for an accurate finger measurement before resizing. If you’re unable to visit in person, we can ship a ring sizer to you. Please note that eternity bands cannot be resized due to their continuous diamond setting.

Can I customize my wedding band to sit flush or curve around my engagement ring?

Of course! We specialize in custom wedding bands that either sit flush against your engagement ring or curve perfectly to hug its shape. This ensures your rings stack comfortably and look seamless together.

Do wedding bands need to be the same width as the engagement ring?

Not at all! Wedding bands can be narrower, wider, or the same width as your engagement ring—whatever suits your style and comfort. Your consultant can help you find the right balance so your bands look harmonious and feel great on your finger.

Does Lauren B offer matching bands for my partner and me?

We do! While most couples choose different styles, we can design coordinating bands in the same metal or with subtle matching details. We also carry a curated selection of men’s and unisex bands, which can be customized as well.
