CELEBRITY ENGAGEMENT RINGS PART II

There are so many unique and beautiful celebrity engagement rings, we had to follow up with another post dedicated to them! We've got emeralds, pears and cushions below complete with our Lauren B design take on how to recreate something similar to accommodate any budget. For your personal custom design quote based off of any of these rings, or any other celebrityrings, reach out to us at [email protected] .

Angelina Jolie- Emerald Cut Diamond

Angelina Jolie's marriage to Brad Pitt may have come to an end, but we are still thinking about that custom designed emerald engagement ring! Angelina's elongated emerald cut diamond was custom cut to suite the exact dimensions of her finger and was then flanked by matching tapered emerald cut diamonds- giving the illusion of a ring made completely of diamond.

There's something truly magical sounding about a diamond that's been cut to fit your finger perfectly- but here's a little hint- you can do the same with Lauren B! We focus on length and width measurements of every elongated stone, which translates into a ratio when divided. A wider emerald ratio is in the 1.20:1 - 1:35:1 range, while a longer ratio is in the 1.40:1 - 1.60:1 range.

Personally, I love an emerald cut in the 1.35-1.50 ratio range! Angelina's looks to be in the 1.60 ratio which flatters and elongates any finger shape.

Lauren B's Take:

Katherine Heigle - Pear cut diamond
Katherine must have been in on the perks of a pear cut diamond- there's no other diamond that spreads larger! The pear cut diamonds all appear much larger than their carat weight due to the way the shape spreads through one wide, rounded end to the tapered delicate tip.
Even better, she had it set in a double edge diamond halo- maximizing in every way on the carat weight appearance of the stone!
A diamond halo can add up to 30 points additional carat weight appearance to any stone as long as it's set on the same plane as the diamond. This design feature also adds extra sparkle and brightens up the setting while doing so. You really can't go wrong!
Lauren B's Take:
Pear shape diamond in delicate halo engagement ring style
By now, Lauren B has becoming synonymous with the phrase "seamless, delicate halo". Whether it's a classic single halo, a double edge, or a double halo, this is one of the many setting details we've perfected we take extra time to hand create each halo to suit the exact shape and measurements of each center stone. You won't find any of our settings pre made & waiting for a diamond to be dropped in! That's just not up to our aesthetic standards, and we know you'll understand why after viewing our halo engagement ring designs.
Kim Kardashian - 3 rings: Emerald cut & Cushion Cut Diamonds
Kim Kardashian certainly has many engagement rings, and each look can be recreated exactly to accommodate any size or quality diamond. Pictured first is Kim Kardashian's original jaw dropping 20 carat D color Internally Flawless emerald cut diamond ring sat delicately upon a micro pave set band. Perspective is always important to consider when creating the setting, and one of the best ways to maximize on the size appearance of any stone is to place it atop a delicate band with 4 prongs. This makes the center stone look like it's floating far above it- thus making it look large in comparison to the band in the background.
Kim is seen in the second photo with another emerald cut engagement ring, but this time it's a 3 stone design. This is a very classic setting design and the accent stones are always chosen last to suit the center stone perfectly in size.

In the 3rd photo, Kim is sporting her 15 carat elongated cushion cut diamond again, atop a delicate micro pave set band. Cushion cut diamonds come in 2 shapes: elongated (rectangular) and square. Any diamond that is elongated in shape will appear larger or spreadier than it's carat weight due to the nature of elongated shapes. This is important to consider when trying to achieve a larger center stone look.

Kim's 2nd look:
There are so many beautiful and unique accent stone options for 3 stone ring designs. Most traditionally, when the center stone is a step cut such as an Asscher or emerald cut, the flanking stones are also step cuts such as tapered elongated baguettes, step cut trapezoids, or for a more deco look- step cut bullets. There are also ovals, triangles, trillions, rounds and pears to flank any center stone.
