How to Get The Best Diamond Value: 'Off-Size SI'

Today we are going to give you some insider info on two #diamond qualities of SIZE & CLARITY that we combine into one, in order to help you achieve maximum value and put some extra money back into your pocket. How to buy a diamond is not an easy question to answer but there are certain diamond shopping tips we can share with you

'Off-Size' is an industry term for diamonds that weigh between whole and half numbers; for example 1.2 carats, 1.8 carats, 2.25 carats. etc. Since our in-stock diamonds have larger than average face-up appearances, our 1.8 carat diamonds can look almost the same size as most others' 2 carat diamonds without you having to pay that extra premium.

'SI1 or SI2' (slightly included) is the clarity grade where you can find great deals; but tread lightly because a lot of 'SI' clarity diamonds for sale online have eye visible inclusions or can appear dull and lifeless. We inspect all of the SI clarity diamonds in our inventory to ensure they are eye-clean and have maximum sparkle.

To start, we have a lineup of beautiful #diamonds that fit both of the criteria above, from left to right: 1.29 ct round F-SI2, 1.3 ct cushion G-SI1, 1.76 ct radiant H-SI2, 1.77 ct hybrid cut F-SI1, 2.2 ct pear F-SI2 and a 2.28 ct marquise E-SI2 which will use in the examples below.

The next part is for size purposes and you can see how similar an off-size diamond can look to a slightly larger carat diamond; a 1.29 carat round compared to a 1.5 carat, followed by a 1.76 ct radiant next to a 2 carat radiant and finally a 2.2 carat pear next to a 2.5 carat pear. As you can see in some cases they look almost identical and of course the smaller carat diamond will come at a discount.

In the final segment you will see the 1.3 ct cushion and the 1.29 ct round up close and personal under 10x magnification; the inclusions are barely noticeable if at all!. The same holds true for the radiant, hybrid step cut, pear and marquise diamonds in the following scenes. This shows you that our SI clarity diamonds will appear as beautiful as a higher clarity VS diamond without the hefty tag.
